Elvis fans return to Lakewood for charity

Localbusinessman Andrew Howard of South Toms River, in cooperation withZanzibar music and the Ocean Localbusinessman Andrew Howard of South Toms River, in cooperation withZanzibar music and the Ocean County ARC, will present the sixth annualFriends of Elvis convention. This annual event helps the Ocean CountyARC provide funds for those with developmental disabilities. The eventis scheduled for Feb. 3 at the Historic Strand Theater, Clifton Avenue,Lakewood, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Theshow will pay tribute to the music of Elvis Presley and will featurelive tributes by performers from the tri-state area; there will also bevendors offering Elvis memorabilia. Entertainment will include RayKaminski as Roy Orbison, plus Elvis tributes by Gene Dinapoli, MikeBrooks, Johnny “P,” Sammy “J,” Ruben Castillo, Mike Marchitto, AndrewJ. Howard and Chris Presley.
